WHAT WE DO

The Center for Inquiry School 84's Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a charitable organization with the overarching goal to advocate for children, support the school, and promote family engagement. This 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization works with School CFI 84 to enhance our school community and support our staff by raising money, organizing events, and providing information to parents and families.

The PTSA consists of parents and guardians like YOU who are volunteering their time to benefit our CFI84 school. A board of volunteers, elected biannually, oversees the PTSA's activities. We encourage you to participate by attending PTSA meetings and volunteering through committees, events and by paying annual dues (that allow our organization to remain in compliance with state standards).

Ways the PTSA supports its school include:

  • Providing a stipend for teachers' classroom supplies

  • Coordinating teacher support days

  • Teacher/ staff appreciation

  • Assisting in payment of continuing education for our teachers

  • Covering the costs of field trips

  • Organizing some school & volunteer events such as:

    • Popsicle Social

    • Book Fairs

    • Outdoor Movie Night

    • Annual Adult-Only Fundraising Event (The Ultimate Parent Party)

    • Gardening Day

    • Veteran's Day Programming

    • Discovery Days ... and more!

And every monetary donation fundraised by CFI 84 PTSA comes with the option to allot an amount of one's choosing to the IPS Equity Fund.

We are grateful for any gift of time involvement, talent or financial support that parents/guardians and students can lend. Thank you for your support!
