COMMITTEES & COORDINATORS

Committees and Coordinators are a great way to meet other parents/ guardians and staff also while supporting your child(ren)'s school. Please look through the below opportunities to see which ones align with your interests and talents.

Current Committees

Committees are led by chair(s) and have members. 

  • Book Fair: Organize book fairs for the school-usually one each semester.  Works on timing, location and vendors and coordinates payment. 
    Chairs: Punam Lively & Julie Gulden

  • Fundraising: The PTSA budget is covered almost entirely from the following Fundraising Committees:

             The Ultimate Parent Party - Rock the World: The committee plans and               coordinates the school's main fundraising event, Rock the World, an                adults-only party supporting the PTSA.

             Chairs: Stephanie Kempfer Collier & Lindsay Dodyk​​

           Silent Auction: Occurs during Rock the World. This committee solicits,

              organizes, and sets up an extensive silent auction with both in-

             person and also online bidding.

             OPEN: Always looking for prospective auction items and members to 

        support auction and bidding software setup.

         Chairs: Jess Dasckiewicz​

           Parent Parties: This committee helps organize parent parties that                     convene parents (and sometimes school families) for events at homes             or venues across Midtown. Hosts typically covering the cost of the 

            party and all proceeds otherwise going to the school.

           Chairs: Kaela Cusack and Lisa Noe

            OPEN: Always looking for prospective parent hosts.​

PTSA Coordinators

Coordinators organize and recruit occasional volunteers.

  • CFI Parent Equity Team Liason: Helps coordinate communication and opportunities of involvement with the CFI-wide Parent Equity Team efforts and events.

  • Chit Chat BookCoordinates a school-wide directory that can be found both online and hard copy.
    Coordinator: Melissa Warth

  • ​Dine to Donate: Partners with local restaurants to have a portion of the proceeds be donated to the PTSA

  • EdukitsWorks with teachers and staff to develop student class supply lists and distributes ordering information.
    Coordinator: Kendra Stewart

     

  • Evening of the Art Coordinator: Plans a Spring event showcasing CFI84's arts programs. 
     

  • Grade Parent CoordinatorHelps with communication to and coordination of grade parents.

  • Lost and Found: Maintains and communicates the status of school's lost/found 
    Coordinators: Debra Foley & Kate Phillips
     

  • Parent Coffee & CopyOrganizes monthly gathering to assist teachers with various tasks (copying, laminating, etc) over coffee.
    Coordinator: Jes Daszkiewicz

     

  • Spirit WearManages spirit wear inventory and coordinates sales of items
    Coordinator:  Tanya Couvillion

     

  • Volunteer CoordinatorHandles requests from chairs, coordinators and staff for all volunteer opportunities at the school, and communicates these opportunities to parents/guardians.
